AP govt to give house-sites to staff before retirement

Vijayawada: The State government has decided to give house-sites to government employees before their retirement if they do not own any property. The State Cabinet also approved a Bill on a guaranteed pension scheme for the government employees instead of CPS.
Briefing the media after the Cabinet meeting, Minister for Information and Public Relations Chelluboyina Srinivasa Gopala Krishna said various important bills to be tabled in the Assembly session beginning from Thursday were adopted at the meeting.
He said modalities will be worked out for allotting house-sites to the government employees. Their children will also be extended medical benefits under Arogya Sri. He said as per eligibility, the government would also extend fees reimbursement scheme to them. The Minister said the Cabinet approved unanimously a bill for regularisation of services of those recruited before June 2, 2014. This will benefit 10,115 contract workers engaged in various departments and 11,633 in AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad.
